CLASS DESCRIPTIONS

GRAPPLING

No-Gi Grappling: This class teaches submission grappling, including chokes, joint locks, sweeps, and defense. Emphasis is placed on using proper technique as opposed to relying on strength or athletic ability. Drilling, situational, and live rolling with an opponent are all used in the class. Techniques from the clinch and takedowns are included.

Wrestling w/ Joe: In this class, Joe covers all aspects of takedowns and takedown defense for both MMA and Folkstyle Wrestling. A great workout and essential material for those who are interested in fighting.

Gi Jiu-Jitsu: More traditional Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu, taught in the Gi and focusing on positional dominance as a means for developing attack. The effect of the Gi is explored with it's wider range of attacks as well as the carryover to "on the street situations," where your opponent could be wearing long pants, coat, etc.

Fighter Only MMA: This class is high intensity training for fighters looking to compete in MMA. Open to The Factory Fight Team only.

Open Mat: Our open mat is supervised without any formal instruction. Students can work on their techniques or roll with other students.

STAND UP

Boxing Bag Work: This Boxing class covers punching, footwork, and combinations. The class is primarily done on the heavy bags, so the class itself will be an intense workout.

Thai-Boxing Pad Work: More kickboxing work here, with a greater emphasis on technique. Again, punching, kicking, elbows, knees, defense, and footwork are covered.

Boxing w/ Rocky: Strictly boxing is done in Rocky's class, with an emphasis on putting together combinations and defensive movements.

Open Box: Our boxing area is open for students to work on the bags, shadow box, and spar (level appropriate).

Muay Thai Sparring: Our general sparring class is supervised with an emphasis on safety and technique. Those who choose to attend will spar with a variety of individuals, allowing you to become accustomed to different size, shape, and speed opponents.

Women Only: A variety of kickboxing techniques are learned here, combined with a great workout in a ladies only environment. All levels are welcome, from 'brand new' to 'been in the ring.'

FITNESS

CrossFit: This is a constantly varied set of functional workouts, which are tailored to the individual's fitness level. Results of the daily workout are measured and recorded to provide you with actual empirical data that tracks you on your path to exceptional fitness. The class adjusts to each unique individual, so from elite athletes to couch potatoes, everyone gets an outstanding workout, in a friendly and safe environment. KIDS CLASSES

Kids MMA: Our kid's classes emphasize safety and fun. Classes are taught in an enthusiastic and respectful climate and are made up of kids from 8 to 14 years old (parents of kids slightly younger please speak with Matt or Pat to determine if your child is eligible).

We teach a very controlled set of techniques that will keep your kids fit, while improving their confidence and discipline, and allowing them to learn some self defense. Parents are always welcome to watch their kids in class, or to participate in adult fitness class while their children are training.
